What Is SCIT?

SCIT (Secure Clinical Image Transfer) is a secure platform that lets authorised NHS GGC staff safely capture and send patient images and clinical data directly from their mobile devices — without storing any sensitive data on the device itself. Photos and records are encrypted and uploaded immediately to the GGC secure image management system, ensuring patient confidentiality and compliance with clinical and data-protection policies.

What devices can use SCIT?

SCIT can be installed on NHS GGC mobile devices, Apple IOS and Samsung A13 or newer. SCIT will not work on A12 or earlier devices. Please ensure that your device is up to date, using the latest version of Android or IOS.

How do I register for SCIT?

To register for SCIT please click here. Once approved you will receive an email with further instructions.

How do I get the SCIT app on my device?

Once registered and approved the SCIT application should automatically install on to your device. This can take up to 24 hours to appear. You may need to reset your device to factory settings if your device does not have Microsoft Intune installed.

What is my username for logging in to SCIT?

Your username is your email address that you registered when completing your SCIT application.

How do I reset my password for SCIT?

To reset your password please use the SCIT app on your device. End any active session by clicking the session link at the top of the SCIT app home page. Under Password, click “Reset your password”, scroll down and click “Reset SCIT Password”. Enter your registered email address and follow the instructions.
